ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
April 15, 1997

An organizational meetinG of the Janesville City Council, held at
the Municipal BuildinG on April 15, 1997 at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by City Clerk-Treasurer Jean Ann
Wulf.
Present: Councilmembers Stehura, Brien, O'Leary, Cullen, Schneider,
Noll and Westphal.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT:
The City Clerk-Treasurer called for nominations from the floor for
City Council President. Councilmember Schneider moved to nominate
Councilmember Cullen as Council President, seconded by
Councilmember Noll. The City Clerk-Treasurer called for any other
nominations for Council President and received none. Nominations
were closed and the Council approved Councilmember Cullen as
Council President by the followinG vote: Aye: Councilmembers
Stehura, Brien, O'Leary, Schneider, Noll and Westphal. Pass:
Councilmember Cullen.
Councilmember Noll moved to elect Councilmember Brien as Council
Vice-President, seconded by Councilmember Schneider and passed by
the followinG vote: Aye: Council President Cullen, Councilmembers
Stehura, O'Leary, Schneider, Noll and Westphal. Pass:
Councilmember Brien.
Council President Cullen established the new seating arrangement
for the Council starting at the President's far left:
Councilmembers Brien, O'Leary, Stehura and Westphal; startinG from
the President's far right Councilmembers Schneider and Noll.
There beinG no further business, the Council adjourned at 6:24 p.m.
These minutes are not official until approved by the City Council.
