12-02-96PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL Approved 12-23-96 CITY OF JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN SPECIAL MEETING December 2, 1996 VOL. 47 NO. 27 A special meeting of the Janesville City Council held at the Municipal Building on December 2, 1996 at 4:30 p.m. Council President Schneider called the meeting to order. Present: Council President Schneider, Councilmembers Stehura, Brien, O'Leary, Cullen, Noll and Westphal. 1. Action on a proposed resolution appropriating funds, authorizing expenditures and levying a tax therefore by the City of Janesville for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1997. Councilmember Noll moved to adopt said resolution, seconded by Councilmember Cullen and passed by the following vote: Aye: Councilmembers Stehura, Brien, O'Leary, Cullen, Noll and Westphal. Nay: Council President Schneider. 2. Matters not on the agenda. Councilmember Cullen requested the Administration research whether a Councilmember may be appointed to the Library Board. Councilmember Brien requested the Administration to explore the feasibility of using the old landfill as a sledding hill. Councilmembers Westphal and Brien requested the Administration to prepare an ordinance or policy that would allow Rotary Gardens to implement an admission fee or user fee.
