10-28-92PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN SPECIAL MEETING 28 October 1992 APPROVED 11- 16-92 Vol. 43 No. 18 Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building 28 October 1992 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Brien. Present: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Heitzman, O'Leary, Stehura, Schneider and Thomas. Absent: Councilmember Noll. OLD BUSINESS 1. Review of the 1993 Proposed City Budget. The Council reviewed the Public Works Administration Programs, Street Maintenance and Repair Programs, Public Buildings, Traffic Control, Water Utility, Wastewater Utility and Vehicle Operation and Maintenance Budgets. Councilmember Stehura requested a breakdown of the engineering element cost for special projects in the amount of $152,883. Councilmember Schneider requested an additional copy of the memo from Dan Lynch, Utilities Director, concerning NR 101 fees. Councilmember O'Leary moved to delete $10,000 from the public buildings budget for abandoning the fuel oil tank in the Municipal Building, seconded by Councilmember Schneider and failed by the following vote: Aye: Councilmembers O'Leary and Schneider. Nay: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Heitzman, Stehura and Brie~ Councilmember O'Leary moved to delete $7,000 from the public buildings budget for carpeting and received no second. NEW BUSINESS 1. Matters not on the agenda. Council President Brien stated the remaining budgets on the agenda would be discussed at the next study session on 5 November 1992.
