STUDY SESSION
17 August 1992
Study Session of the City Council of the City of Janesville, held
in the Municipal Building, 17 August 1992.
Ail Councilmembers were present. Also in attendance were Steve
Sheiffer, Tom Rogers, Herb Stinski, Ron Beatty and Don Rahn of
Virchow, Krause & Co.
The City Council reviewed the current and proposed Annual Work
Program and Goals and Objectives and Priority Projects.
Following questions and comments, the Council agreed by consensus
with the proposed goals, objectives, and priority projects for
1992-1994.
Finance Director Herb Stinski made a presentation consisting of
general financial information for Council background and on the
financial condition of the city. Mr. Zahn was present to answer
questions on the audit report and management letter.
The Council reviewed a report from the City Manager on potential
procedural changes and agreed by consensus that placing the
Certified Survey Maps and liability claims on the consent agenda
should be placed on the City Council agenda for review. The
Council also agreed by consensus, with Council President Brien's
suggestion, that the Council consider on their formal agenda
starting meetings at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
