ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

An organizational meeting of the :City Council of the City of
Janesville, held in the Municipal Building 21 April 1992 at 7:30
a.m.
Council President Schneider called the meeting to order.
Present: Council President Schneider, Councilmembers Heitzman,
O'Leary, Noll, Stehura, Brien and Thomas.
ELECTION OF THE COUNCIL PRESIDENT
Councilmember Stehura moved to nominate Councilmember Brien for the
position of council president, seconded by Councilmember Noll and
passed by the following vote: Aye: Council President Schneider,
.Coun¢ilmembers Heitzman, O'Leary, Noll, Stehura and Thomas. Pass:
Councilmember Brien.
Outgoing President Schneider turned the meeting over to the new
Council President Brien.
Council President Brien established the new seating arrangement for
the Council starting at the president's far left: Councilmembers
Heitzman, O'Leary, Noll and Stehura; and, starting from the Council
President's far right, Councilmembers Thomas and Schneider.
ELECTION OF A COUNCILMEMBER TO SERVE ON THE PLAN COMMISSION
Council President Brien moved to appoint Councilmember Schneider to
the position on the Plan Commission, seconded by Councilmember Noll
and passed by the following vote: Aye: Council President Brien,
Councilmembers Heitzman, O'Leary, Noll, Stehura and Thomas. Pass:
Councilmember Schneider.
Council President Brien scheduled study sessions starting at 7:00
p.m. on the following dates: 27 April 1992, 5 May 1992, 11 May
1992, 26 May 1992, 8 June 1992, 22 June 1992, 24 June 1992 at 12:00
noon and 20 July 1992. Councilmembers waived notice to all
scheduled study sessions.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 7:43 a.m.
These minutes are notofficial until approved by the City Council.
