ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING

An organizational meeting of the City Council of the City of
Janesville, held in the Municipal Building April 20, 1993 at 7:30
a.m.
Council President Brien called the meeting to order.
Present: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Heitzman,
O'Leary, Noll and Stehura.
Absent: Councilmembers Schneider and Thomas.
ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT
Councilmember Stehura moved to nominate Councilmember O'Leary for
the position of council president, seconded by Councilmember Noll.
Councilmembers Schneider and Thomas arrived at 7:33 a.m.
Council voted on the motion and it passed by the following vote:
Aye: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Heitzman, Noll,
Stehura, Schneider and Thomas. Pass: Councilmember O'Leary.
Councilmember Stehura moved to nominate Councilmember Brien as the
Council Vice President, seconded by Councilmember Noll and passed
by the following vote: Aye: Councilmembers Heitzman, O'Leary,
Noll, Stehura, Schneider and Thomas. Pass: Councilmember Brien.
Council President O'Leary established the new seating arrangement
for the Council starting at the president's far left:
Councilmembers Stehura, Heitzman, Noll and Schneider; and, starting
from the Council President's far right, Councilmembers Thomas and
Brien.
ELECTION OF A COUNCILMEMBER TO SERVE ON THE PLAN COMMISSION
Council President O'Leary moved to appoint Councilmember Schneider
to the position on the Plan Commission, seconded by Councilmember
Stehura and passed by the following vote: Aye: Council President
O'Leary, Councilmembers Stehura, Heitzman, Noll, Brien and Thomas.
Pass: Councilmember Schneider.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 7:38 a.m.
These minutes are not official until approved by the City Council.
