The meeting was called to order by Council President O'Leary at
6:45 p.m.
Present: Council President O'Leary, Councilmembers Stehura,
Heitzman, Noll, Schneider, and Thomas. Absent: Councilmember
Brien.
Present from the Administration: Steve
Wald Klimcyzk, City Attorney; Tom Rogers,
and Mark Roffers, Associate Planner I.
Sheiffer, City Manager;
Assistant City Manager;
1. Review of the Tentative Cable Television Franchise Agreement
Council President stated that no formal motions would be taken on
the agreement. However, the Council by consensus should recommend
changes to the administration. City Manager Sheiffer reviewed and
explained the proposed Cable Television Franchise Agreement between
the City and Crown Cable. The Council analyzed the report, asked
various questions and made changes to the agreement. The changes
are as follows:
-All references made to the term City should refer to the City
Council.
-Actions made by the Cable Advisory Committee and City Manager
are subject to review and approval of the City Council.
Councilmember Noll requested additional information concerning the
levels of service other communities provide for public access and
at what cost.
2. Agenda Planning
Council President O'Leary scheduled a special Council meeting on
May 24, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. to handle any remaining agenda items from
the May 17, 1993 Council meeting, and to review the Transit System.
All Councilmembers waived notice for the special meeting.
There being no further business, the Council adjourned at 9:21 p.m.
These minutes are not official until approved by the City Council.
