2005-222 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-222 A resolution Recognizing Dylan Glindinning as a Janesville Good Citizen (File Resolution No. 2005-222) WHEREAS, Jacob Garvin was in a serious car accident on Mount Zion Avenue on October 11, 2005; and WHEREAS, Dylan Glindinning and Luke Reinke drove past the accident scene shortly after the crash; and WHEREAS, Dylan immediately called 911 to report the accident, while Luke turned his car around so that they could assist the victim; and WHEREAS, Dylan and Luke worked to pry open the car door and then learned the victim was their Craig High School classmate and friend, Jacob; and WHEREAS, Dylan and Luke stayed with Jacob and kept him calm and out of shock until the paramedics arrived; and WHEREAS, Dylan's quick thinking and foresight helped Jacob survive the accident; and WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to another individual be properly recognized; and WHEREAS, Dylan's actions were heroic and in the finest tradition of "Good Citizenship"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of Janesville, on the 14th day of November 2005 that all Janesville citizens are called upon to acknowledge and thank Dylan Glindinning for his courageous work to save the life of another individual; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council to express their appreciation to Dylan Glindinning and herby recognize him as a "Janesville Good Citizen" ADOPTED: November 14, 2005 APPROVED: , / ( ,. í :. j / to //' .- / Steven E.
