2005-221 RESOLUTION NO. 2005-221 A resolution Recognizing Luke Reinke as a Janesville Good Citizen (File Resolution No. 2005-221) WHEREAS, Jacob Garvin was in a serious car accident on Mount Zion Avenue on October 11, 2005; and WHEREAS, Luke Reinke and Dylan Glindinning drove past the accident scene shortly after the crash; and WHEREAS, Luke immediately turned his car around so that they could assist the victim, while Dylan called 911 to report the accident; and WHEREAS, Luke and Dylan worked to pry open the car door and then learned the victim was their Craig High School classmate and friend, Jacob; and WHEREAS, Luke and Dylan stayed with Jacob and kept him calm and out of shock until the paramedics arrived; and WHEREAS, Luke's quick thinking and foresight helped Jacob survive the accident; and WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to another individual be properly recognized; and WHEREAS, Luke's actions were heroic and in the finest tradition of "Good Citizenship"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of Janesville, on the 14th day of November 2005 that all Janesville citizens are called upon to acknowledge and thank Luke Reinke for his courageous work to save the life of another individual; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council to express their appreciation to Luke Reinke and herby recognize him as a "Janesville Good Citizen" ADOPTED: November 14, 2005 APPROVED: J{, (.J L[Jr I Steven E.
