10-18-00.docPROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN Special Meeting October 18, 2000 VOL. 51 NO. 16 Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held in the Municipal Building on October 18, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Murphy. Present: Council President Murphy, Councilmembers Schneider, Williams, Brien, Nell (arrived at 7:01 p.m.) and DeGarmo. Absent: Councilmember O'Leary. Review of Budgets. Council reviewed the following 2001 budgets: Public Works Administration, Engineering, Street Maintenance, Street Cleaning, Snow Removal, Flood Control, Weed Cutting, Public Buildings, Parking Facilities, Traffic Management, Solid Waste Collection, Solid Waste Disposal, Industrial Waste Disposal, Recycling, VOM and Technical Services. Council President Murphy requested the name ef the property owner adjacent to the Riverside Plating Company at 1728 North Washington Street. Councilme~ber Nell requested the Administration provide the square footage of the fire stations and the transit building. Councilmember Schneider requested the Administration explore the feasibility of eliminating the recycling drop-off site at Woodman's Food Market by negotiating an agreement for expanded hours with the Janesville Recycling Center on Black Bridge Road.
