Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Janesville held
in the Municipal Building on May 16, 2001.
The meeting was called to order by Council President Brien at 6:30
p.m.
Present: Council President Brien, Councilmembers Damron, Williams,
Murphy, and Steeber. Absent: Councilmembers O'Leary and DeGarmo.
1. Review of pending zoning changes.
Council reviewed zoning code changes contained in proposed
Ordinance Nos. 2001-69,2001-70,2001-71 & 2001-72. Council discussed
land use and transportation in the Northeast Area Plan, key changes
in the ordinances, and the effect on commercial development.
2. Matters not on the agenda.
In response to a request by Councilmember Murphy, Assistant City
Manager Rogers reviewed the proposed construction of a detention
basin in Prairie Knoll Park.
There being no further business, Council adjourned at 8:46 p.m.
