An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 1702 East
Racine Street from B3, General Commercial District to 01, Office/Residence District
with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 42-
332 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby
changed from B3, General Commercial District to 01, Office/Residence District:
All that part of the NW.1/4 of the SE.1/4 of Section 31, T.3N., R.13E. of the 4th P.M., City of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin described as follows: Beginning at a point on the
north line of the SE.1/4 of said section, said point of beginning being the northeast corner
of land conveyed by Sarah E. Drew to Otto Schoonover; running thence S88°16'E along
the north line of said SE.1/4, 100 feet to a point; thence south and parallel with the west
line of said SE.1/4, a distance of 690.44 feet to an iron pipe monument; thence N.88°16'W
100 feet to an iron pipe monument, being the southeast corner of said Schoonover land;
thence north and parallel with the west line 690.44 feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
