2023-885 ORDINANCE NO. 2023-885 An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 921 South Jackson Street from M2, General Industrial District to B3, General Commercial District with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 42-332 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville. THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed from M2, General Industrial District to B3, General Commercial District: PART OF SOUTH JACKSON STREET, PART OF LOT 30, WILLOW GRANGE ADDITION, AND PART OF VACATED C.&N.W. RAILROAD, BEING PART OF GOVERNMENT LOT 3, OF SECTION 1, T. 2 N., R. 12 E., OF THE 4' P.M., CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN. DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: COMMENCING AT THE EAST 1/4 CORNER OF SECTION 1 (T.1 N, R.12E.); THENCE NORTH 88°57'35" WEST A DISTANCE OF 1513.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 00°54'54" WEST A DISTANCE OF 1854.06 FEET TO A 1" IRON PIPE FOUND ON THE EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SOUTH JACKSON STREET AND THE POINT OF BEGINNING OF LANDS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED; THENCE NORTH 89°17'03" WEST A DISTANCE OF 49.52 FEET TO THE CENTERLINE OF SOUTH JACKSON STREET; THENCE NORTH 00°54'54" WEST ALONG THE CENTERLINE AFORESAID A DISTANCE OF 144.90 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 89°17'03" EAST A DISTANCE OF 253.93 FEET TO A FOUND 3/4 INCH REBAR ON THE WEST LINE OF THE FORMER C.&N.W. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
