2023-2161 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2161 A resolution recognizing Matthew J. Diehls for his employment at the City of Janesville. WHEREAS, Matthew J. Diehls retired from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 25 years; retiring as a Driver/Engine Paramedic with the Janesville Fire Department; and WHEREAS, during Matthew J. Diehls' employment with the City of Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and WHEREAS, Matthew J. Diehls began his employment with the City of Janesville as a Firefighter/Paramedic in July 1998; and WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he held the assignments of Firefighter/Paramedic, Driver/EPM, and Acting Lieutenant; and WHEREAS, Matthew J. Diehls served on the Department's Hazmat Team, Equipment_Committee and served as the Department's Traffic Incident Management Coordinator; and WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Matthew J. Diehls for his twenty-five years of loyal public service. Dated this 13th day of November, 2023.
