A Resolution Adopting the 2024 Business Improvement District Operating Plan
and Setting a BID Levy for 2023
WHEREAS, the Business Improvement District (BID) Board prepared a 2024 BID
Operating Plan and proposed BID levy for calendar year 2023; and
WHEREAS, the owners of all of the properties within the BID were provided a copy of the
proposed 2024 BID Operating Plan (a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference as if fully set forth verbatim) and proposed budget with levy for 2023;
and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has issued a legal opinion finding that the proposed 2024
BID Operating Plan and 2023 levy comply with the required provisions of Wisconsin State
Statute 66.1109(3)(b); and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Janesville hereby find that the
implementation of the proposed 2024 BID Operating Plan, proposed budget, and the
setting of a BID levy for 2023, in the manner proposed in the attachments, each to be in
the best interests of the City of Janesville, its downtown, and the BID;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of
Janesville do hereby:
1 . Approve the 2024 BID Operating Plan.
2. Approve the 2023 BID Levy as set forth in the 2024 BID Operating Plan.
