2023-2146 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2146
A resolution recognizing Raymond S. Plath for his employment at the City of Janesville.
WHEREAS, Raymond S. Plath retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 24 years; retiring
as a Fire Lieutenant with the Janesville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, during Raymond S. Plath's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his
position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Raymond S. Plath began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Firefighter/Paramedic in January 1999; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he held the assignments of
Firefighter/Paramedic, Driver MPO, and Fire Lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, Raymond S. Plath served on a number of the Department's Special Teams and
Committees including the Dive Team, Hazmat Team, Technical Rescue Team, Equipment
and Maintenance Committee, Truck Committee, and Extrication Committee; as well as
managed special projects for the benefit of the Fire Department and City; and
WHEREAS, Raymond S. Plath received the VFW Firefighter of the Year Award in 2009 and
the Fire Department's Mighty Oak Award in March 2020; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the
City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Raymond S. Plath for his twenty-four
years of loyal public service.
