2023-2101 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2101
A resolution recognizing Christopher L. Lukas for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Christopher L. Lukas retired from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 22
years; retiring as a Battalion Chief with the Janesville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, during Christopher L. Lukas' employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Christopher L. Lukas began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Firefighter/EMT in April 2001; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including
Firefighter/EMT, Driver, Fire Lieutenant, and Battalion Chief; and
WHEREAS, Christopher L. Lukas served on various Department Special Teams and
Committees including; Dive Team, Tech Rescue Team, Hazmat Team as well as
Equipment and Training Committee; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Christopher L. Lukas
for his twenty-two years of loyal public service.
