2023-2131 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2131
A resolution recognizing William H. Howard, Jr. for his employment at the City of Janesville.
WHEREAS, William H. Howard, Jr., retired from City of Janesville employment after having diligently
served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 22 years; retiring as a Transit Bus
Driver with the Janesville Transit System; and
WHEREAS, during William H. Howard, Jr.'s employment with the City of Janesville, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position,
which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, William H. Howard, Jr., began his employment with the City of Janesville as a Part-Time
Bus Driver with the Janesville Transit System in August 2000 and was promoted to Full-Time Bus
Driver in January 2003; and
WHEREAS, William H. Howard, Jr., was known for his cheerful and friendly demeanor, focus on
customer service, and the ease with which he communicated route and schedule information to
riders; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City
Council, do express their grateful appreciation to William H. Howard, Jr., for his twenty-two years of
loyal public service.
