2023-2129 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2129
A resolution recognizing Scott A. Katzenmeyer for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Scott A. Katzenmeyer retired from City of Janesville employment after
having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 24
years; retiring as a Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during Scott A. Katzenmeyer's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Scott A. Katzenmeyer began his employment with the City of Janesville as
a Police Officer in June 1999; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including
first, second and third shift Patrol Officer, Range Officer, Bicycle Officer; he was a
member of the Mobile Field Force, Bearcat Driver, and a member of the Safety
Committee; and
WHEREAS, Scott A. Katzenmeyer was awarded Police Officer of the Year in 2010,
received a Letter of Commendation in 2006, an Exemplary Service Citation in 2007, and
a Meritorious Service Citation in 2013; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Scott A. Katzenmeyer
for his twenty-four years of loyal public service.
