An ordinance changing the zoning classification of property located at 170 South
Franklin Street from B6, Central Service District, to R4, Central Residence District,
with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 42-
332 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby
changed from B6, Central Service District to R4, Central Residence District:
Property located in the SW '/4 of Section 26, T.3N., R.12E. of the 4th P.M., City of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin described as follows: Lot 56 of Smith-Bailey &
Stone's Addition, a plat recorded in the Rock County Register of Deeds Office on August
31, 1844. This also includes one-half of the public right-of-way of South Franklin Street
adjoining the above-described property.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
