2023-2099 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2099
A resolution recognizing Paul M. Verhalen for his employment at the City of
Janesville
WHEREAS, Paul M. Verhalen retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than
25 years, retiring as a Fire Lieutenant with the Janesville Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, during Paul M. Verhalen's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Paul M. Verhalen began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Firefighter/Paramedic in March 1998; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including
Firefighter/EMT, Driver, Shift Recruit Trainer, Acting Fire Captain, and Fire Lieutenant;
and
WHEREAS, Paul M. Verhalen served on the Department's Hazmat Team and the
Equipment and Truck Replacement Committees; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Paul M. Verhalen for
his more than 25 years of loyal public service.
