2023-2098 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2098 A resolution recognizing Matthew W. Gosline for his employment at the City of Janesville. WHEREAS, Matthew W. Gosline retired from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 37 years, retiring as the Building and Traffic Management Supervisor with the Public Works Operations Division; and WHEREAS, during Matthew W. Gosline's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and WHEREAS, Matthew W. Gosline began his employment with the City of Janesville as a Laborer I in Technical Services Department in May 1985; and WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including Laborer I, Laborer Ill, Equipment Operator I, Equipment Operator II, Electrician/ Property Technician, and Building and Traffic Management Supervisor; and WHEREAS, through his work in Technical Services, Matthew W. Gosline oversaw the operation and maintenance of the City's traffic signals, streetlights, and City facilities, serving internal and external customers with dedication and pride; and WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Matthew W. Gosline for his 37 years of loyal public service. Dated this 10th day of April, 2023.
