2023-2085 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2085
A resolution recognizing Travis W. Kelsey for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Travis W. Kelsey retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 30 years,
retiring as a Crew Leader with the Public Works Operations Division; and
WHEREAS, during Travis W. Kelsey's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Travis W. Kelsey began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Mechanic I in the Streets Department in May 1992; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including
Mechanic I, Mechanic II, VOM Working Foreman, and VOM Crew Leader; and
WHEREAS, Travis W. Kelsey was named the Public Works Employee of the Year in
2001 and received the Mighty Oak Award in September 2021; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Travis W. Kelsey for
his thirty years of loyal public service.
