An Ordinance implementing a $1 shipping/handling fee for mailing and a $3 replacement fee for MyJTS
smart cards, a 2.5% debit/credit card convenience fee; and 30-day fare capping; with penalties for
violations thereof as set forth in JGO 38-665.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 38-664 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby created
to read as follows:
"(7) Individuals using the MyJTS electronic fare system, only if such individuals follow the procedures
required by the Transit Director, are eligible for a 30-day fare cap for Janesville fare zone rides in an
amount as established by the City Council from time to time and as set out in the fee schedule which
appears in Appendix A to this Code. When such procedures are not followed, individuals will not be eligible
for fare capping and must pay the regular fare.
SECTION II. The applicable section of the Fee Schedule set forth in Appendix A of the Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby adjusted to reflect the below new fees and is hereby
amended in the manner set forth in the attachment hereto:
1. $1 shipping/handling fee for mailing a MyJTS smart card.
2. $3 replacement fee for MyJTS smart card.
3. A convenience fee of 2.5% of transaction total when paying using credit/debit cards through the
MyJTS portal.
4. 30-day fare cap of$52 for Janesville fare zone rides.
