2023-2082 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2082 A resolution recognizing Gail Terrell for her employment at the City of Janesville. WHEREAS, Gail Terrell retired from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than 45 years; and WHEREAS, during Gail Terrell's employment with the City of Janesville, she provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of her position, which she performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and WHEREAS, Gail Terrell began her employment with the City of Janesville as a Clerk Typist in the Community Development Department in October 1977; and WHEREAS, in the course of her employment, she held several positions including Clerk Typist I, Clerk Typist II, Secretary, and Administrative Assistant; and had worked in numerous offices and divisions including Community Development, Economic Development, Housing, Assessor's Office, City Manager's Office, Public Works, and Wastewater. Gail Terrell was always willing to take on new projects; help out whenever possible and was a regular with Election Day support and assisting the Engineering Department with bidding packets; and WHEREAS, Gail Terrell was named the CDA Division Employee of the Year in 1995; and WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Gail Terrell for her more than 45 years of loyal public service.
