2023-2073 RESOLUTION NO. 2023-2073
A resolution recognizing Todd W. Schumann for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Todd W. Schumann retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 29 years; retiring
as a Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during Todd W. Schumann's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his
position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
WHEREAS, Todd W. Schumann began his employment with the City of Janesville as a Police
Officer in February 1993; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including first
and third shift Patrol Officer, Hostage Negotiator, Honor Guard, and Bicycle Officer; and
WHEREAS, Todd W. Schumann received the Meritorious Service Citation in 2011, and the
Mighty Oak Award in September 2021; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the
City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Todd W. Schumann for his twenty-nine
years of loyal public service.
