2022-2066 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-2066
A RESOLUTION authorizing the construction of a Comfort Station on the City of
Janesville leased property known as Rotary Botanical Gardens.
WHEREAS, Rotary Botanical Gardens is a non-profit, award winning botanical gardens
located on 20 acres of City of Janesville property; and
WHEREAS, since 1989, Rotary Botanical Gardens and the City of Janesville have had
a lease agreement to provide the gardens in our community; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Botanical Gardens wishes to construct a Comfort Station in the
northeast section of the property at no cost to the City of Janesville; and
WHEREAS, the Comfort Station will provide concessions during the Holiday Light
Show, a changing area for brides, as well as a restroom for garden visitors; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Botanical Gardens continues to be a showcase property,
drawing thousands of visitors per year;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of
Janesville that they hereby approve and authorize the construction of a Comfort Station
on the leased property known as Rotary Botanical Gardens.
