2022-2041 RESOLUTION NO. 2022 - 2041
A resolution recognizing Robert G. Fahey for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Robert G. Fahey retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than
30 years; and
WHEREAS, during Robert G. Fahey's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Robert G. Fahey began his employment with the City of Janesville as an
Electrical Inspector in the Codes Division in April 1992; and
WHEREAS, Robert G. Fahey was a member of the National Electrical Code Technical
Panel, the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, the Southwest Wisconsin
Electrical Inspectors Association (SWWEIA), and was a UL Research Institute
Standards Technical Panel Member in 2015; and
WHEREAS, Robert G. Fahey regularly taught classes through Blackhawk Technical
College, IBEW and for the SWWEIA to help educate local electricians on changes in the
Codes and helped them with obtaining State licenses; and
WHEREAS, Robert G. Fahey was named the CDA Division Employee of the Year in
2000, the City Employee of the Year in 2000, and the recipient of the City of Janesville
Safety Award in 2001; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Robert G. Fahey for
his more than 30 years of loyal public service.
