2022-2038 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-2038
A resolution recognizing Timothy J. O'Leary for his employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Timothy J. O'Leary retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 27 years;
retiring as a Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during Timothy J. O'Leary's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Timothy J. O'Leary began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Police Officer in January 1995; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including
first, second, and third shift Patrol Officer, Range Officer, Field Training Officer, Street
Crimes Officer, SWAT Officer, SWAT Assistant Commander, and Defense and Arrest
Tactics (DAAT) Instructor; he also served on the Beat Study Committee; and
WHEREAS, Timothy J. O'Leary was awarded the Janesville Police Department's Police
Officer of the Year for 2020; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Timothy J. O'Leary for
his 27 years of loyal public service.
