2022-2012 FILE RESOLUTION NO. 2022-2012 A resolution recognizing outgoing citizen board, commission, and committee members for their loyal and conscientious service to the City of Janesville. WHEREAS, members of boards, commissions, and committees provide an invaluable service to our City, advising the City Council on a wide variety of subjects by making recommendations on important policy matters; and WHEREAS, without the assistance of the various boards, commissions, and committees, the City Council could give many complex and significant matters only a cursory review; and WHEREAS, serving on a board, commission, or committee is an excellent way to participate in the functioning of local government and to make a personal contribution to the improvement of our community; and WHEREAS, the following individuals served on a City board, commission, or committee with their tenure ending during or at the close of the 2021 /2022 term: Advisory Committee on Appointments Catherine Myers Library Board of Trustees Laurie VanderJagt Adam Dinnes Julie Janiak Alcohol License Advisory Committee Kevin Riley Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee Harold Combs Citizens Board of Review Patricia Thornton Nicole Pecku Wendy Weiss Downtown Business Improvement District Board Police & Fire Commission Shawn Reents Timothy Lindau Historic Commission Sustainable Janesville Committee Robert Douglas James Foss Catherine Ishmael Jim Poad Carol Larson Zoning Board of Appeals Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change Jason Brown Bryn Hanson Jim Poad Jonathon Widner NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Janesville to recognize outgoing citizen board, commission, and committee members for their loyal and conscientious service to the City of Janesville.
