2022-1964 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1964
A resolution recognizing Helene A. Ramsdell for her employment at the City of
Janesville.
WHEREAS, Helene A. Ramsdell is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for 20 years;
retiring as a Public Services Assistant II at the Hedberg Public Library; and
WHEREAS, during Helene A. Ramsdell's employment with the City of Janesville, she
provided consistently professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the
duties of her position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Helene A. Ramsdell began her employment with the City of Janesville at the
Hedberg Public Library in January 2002; and
WHEREAS, Helene A. Ramsdell was involved in different assignments during her tenure
at the Hedberg Public Library, including Library Services Assistant, Information Services
Assistant, and Public Services Assistant II; and
WHEREAS, Helene A. Ramsdell provided excellent customer service and frequently
exceeded work expectations; and
WHEREAS, Helene A. Ramsdell worked with area artists and the Hedberg Public Library
Art Committee to select artwork for display, worked with the artists to set up and display
their artwork at the Library, and did a phenomenal job doing so; she managed the volunteer
program at the Library and was a tremendous asset in maintaining positive relationships
with all the volunteers who have worked at the Library over the years; and
WHEREAS, Helene A. Ramsdell oversaw the scheduling of the public meeting room and
worked with the groups who used that room for their activities; and she was always a
smiling face when people entered Administration; and
WHEREAS, all of her positive activities led to her being awarded the Mighty Oak award in
December 2016; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through
the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Helene A. Ramsdell for her more
than twenty years of loyal public service.
