2022-1953 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-1953
A resolution recognizing Steven S. Knox for his employment at the City of Janesville.
WHEREAS, Steven S. Knox retired from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than
21 years; retiring as a Police Officer with the Janesville Police Department; and
WHEREAS, during Steven S. Knox's employment with the City of Janesville, he
provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to
the duties of his position, which he performed with skill, ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Steven S. Knox began his employment with the City of Janesville as a
Police Officer in October, 2000; and
WHEREAS, in the course of his employment, he had a variety of assignments, including
first, second and third shift Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Bike Patrol Officer,
BEARCAT Operator, and Defense and Arrest Tactics Instructor, and served as a
member of the Police Department's Safety Committee; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville,
through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Steven S. Knox for his
more than twenty-one years of loyal public service.
