2021-824 ORDINANCE NO. 2021-824
An ordinance changing the zoning classification of 1840 Lafayette Street from B3,
General Commercial District, to R3M, Medium Density Residence District, with a
penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 42-332 of
the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby
changed from B3, General Commercial District, to R3M, Medium Density Residence
District:
Part of the SW.1/4 of the NE.1/4 of Section 12, T.2N., R.12E of the 4th P.M., City of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin described as follows: Lot 2 of Certified Survey Map
Document No. 1064062 as recorded on December 21, 1987 in Volume 13, Pages 134 and
135 of Certified Survey Maps of Rock County, Wisconsin. This also includes one-half of
the public right-of-way of Lafayette Street adjoining the above-described property.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
