2021-1886 RESOLUTION NO. 2021 — 1886
WHEREAS, Joei Jay is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently
served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than fifteen years;
retiring as a Materials Processing Assistant at the Hedberg Public Library; and
WHEREAS, during Joei Jay's employment with the City of Janesville, she provided
consistently professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties
of her position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Joei Jay began her employment with the City of Janesville at the Hedberg
Public Library in October 2005; and
WHEREAS, Joei Jay was involved in different assignments during her tenure at the
Hedberg Public Library including Circulation Assistant, Shelver, a back-up for the Youth
Services Desk, a Public Services Assistant I and as a Materials Processing Assistant; and
WHEREAS, Joei Jay provided excellent customer service and frequently exceeded work
expectations, helped develop and implement procedures for online card registrations, was
open to new ideas and would assist where help was needed, was a tremendous help
preparing for and moving books around during the library Transformation Project, was
incredibly friendly and helpful to patrons and was a great co-worker who received 3 "I
Made It Happen Awards" during her tenure at the Hedberg Public Library; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be
properly recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through
the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Joei Jay for her more than fifteen
years of loyal public service.
