2021-1878 RESOLUTION NO. 2021-1878
A resolution recognizing Tom Wolfe for his loyal and conscientious service to the
City of Janesville as a City Councilmember.
WHEREAS, Tom Wolfe served the City of Janesville from 2017 to 2021 as a member of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wolfe served as Council Vice President from 2018 to 2021; and
WHEREAS, during his term in office, Mr. Wolfe served as a member of the Audit Committee, Janesville
Innovation Center Board, Janesville Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Board, Hedberg Public Library
Board, and Joint Review Board; and
WHEREAS, during his term, the City Council accomplished many significant achievements, including the
completion of the Town Square, Festival Street, and Fitness Court; construction of two new hotels; securing
grant funding for the replacement of all 17 JTS buses; execution of an intergovernmental agreement with the
City of Milton for shared fire services; removal of the Monterey Dam and restoration of the Monterey area;
completion of Hedberg Public Library's Transform Your Library renovation project; an increase in housing
availability; the creation of overnight homeless parking; and guidance through the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wolfe's knowledge, dedication, and passion to serve the community and its citizens
characterized his tenure in office throughout; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Wolfe performed the duties of a member of the City Council with an exemplary level of
dedication, honesty, and integrity;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Janesville presents this
commendation to Tom Wolfe in sincere appreciation for his loyal and conscientious service to the City of
Janesville.
