RESOLUTION 2005-212
A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT A DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING POLICY FOR THE
JANESVILLE TRANSIT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville Transit System is required by the Federal Transit Admin-
istration to implement a Drug and Alcohol Testing program for transit employees as a condition of
receiving federal financial assistance, and
WHEREAS, such program is in place and found to be in compliance after review by the Fed-
eral Transit Administration, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration further requires that the policy statement
governing the Testing program be approved by the policy board which oversees the operation of the
Transit System, and
WHEREAS, the proposed Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy has been revised to include all re-
quired elements as directed by the Federal Transit Administration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville
that the proposed policy be adopted as the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Policy for the City of
Janesville Transit System.
