ORDINANCE NO. 2005-291
An ordinance changing the zoning classification of a portion of property located at 1700
South River Road from R3M to R3, with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation
thereof as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of
Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed
from R3M, Medium Density Residence District, to R3, General Residence District:
LOT 2 AND PART OF LOT 1 OF A CERITIFED SURVEY MAP AS RECORDED IN VOLUME
21, PAGES 431 THRU 437, LOCATED IN GOVERNMENT LOTS 5 AND 6 OF FRACTIONAL
SECTION 10, T.2N., R.12E., OF THE 4TH P.M., CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY,
WISCONSIN.
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: Beginning at the NE. corner of said Lot 2; thence S.13°19'W.
along the Westerly Right-of-way (R.O.W.) line of South River Road, 422.62 feet to the centerline
of a Municipal Utility Easement as recorded on said Certified Survey Map; thence
N.75°47'40"W. along said centerline, 105.51 feet; thence N.62°27'50"W. continuing along said
centerline, 260.67 feet; thence N.52°03'30"W. continuing along said centerline, 105.51 feet;
thence N.63°55'10"W. continuing along said centerline 2.99 feet; thence N.42°34'45"E. 122.20
feet to the Northerly line of said Lot 1; thence S.4r25'15"E. along said Northerly line, 115.0
feet; thence N.42°34'45"E. continuing along said Northerly line, 207.0 feet to the NW. corner of
said Lot 2; thence N.80045''E. along the North line of said Lot 2, a distance of 212.0 feet to the
place of beginning.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
