ORDINANCE NO. 2005-284
An ordinance annexing territory in Section 33, T.3N., R.12E. ofthe 4th P.M., Town of
Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin.
WHEREAS, a petition signed by all the owners of all the land within such territory proposed to
be annexed has been filed with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, there are no electors residing in the territory; and
WHEREAS, the necessary notices have been duly prepared, provided and served as required
by law to all persons affected; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does not contain temporary zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration has not found the proposed annexation to be
against the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council has determined that this annexation is in the public interest.
NOW THEREFORE THE COMMON COUNCil OF THE CITY OF JANESVlllE DO ORDAIN
AS FOllOWS:
SECTION I. The territory described as follows is hereby annexed to the City of Janesville.
PART OF THE SE. ~ OF SECTION 33, T.3N., R.12E. OF THE 4TH P.M., TOWN OF
JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN.
DESCRIBED AS FOllOWS: Commencing at the SE. corner of said Section 33; thence
N.69°10'28"W. 984.83 feet to the NW. corner of a Certified Survey map as recorded in Volume
17, Pages 115 and 116, also being at the place of beginning for the land to be herein described;
thence S.89°34'20'W. 20.0 feet; thence S.0025'53"E. 305.25 feet to a line parallel to and 33 feet
North of the South line of the SE. ~ of said Section; thence N.89°19'50'W. along said parallel
line, 641.83 feet; thence N.0040'10"E. 138.66 feet; thence N.89°19'50'W. 515.88 feet; thence
N.5°37'28"E. 126.16 feet; thence N.5°34'47"E. 70.0 feet; thence N.9°26'19"E. 140.65 feet to the
SW. corner of Lot 110, "Rockport Ridge Estates Sixth Addition"; thence N.89°32'58"E. 436.18
feet to the SE. corner of Lot 112 of said "Sixth Addition"; thence N.31 °31 '06"W. 143.20 feet to
the most Southerly corner of Lot 113 of said "Sixth Addition"; thence N 049° 41 '20"E. 131.24 feet
to the most Easterly corner of said Lot 113; thence NA5°36'12"E. 70.18 feet to the most
Southerly corner of Lot 94 of said "Sixth Addition"; thence NA9°41 '20"E. 130.0 feet to the most
easterly corner of said Lot 94; thence SAo018'40"E. along the West line of "Rockport Ridge
Estates Third Addition", 303.75 feet; thence SAr55'35"E. along the existing city limit line,
436.89 feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION II. After this annexation becomes effective, the above described property shall be
exempt from and not subject to further taxation and assessments in the Town of Janesville and
thence forth shall be subject to taxation and assessment as part of the City of Janesville for any
and all purpose provided by law.

SECTION III. All the territory annexed by this ordinance is hereby made part of Ward 27 of the
City of Janesville.
SECTION IV. There are no residents in the area proposed for annexation.
SECTION V. The annexation area is within the Janesville School District.
SECTION VI. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
