2020-1796 RESOLUTION NO. 2020 — 1796 WHEREAS, Bonnie Merath retired from City of Janesville employment after having diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for more than 19 years, retiring as a Lieutenant with the Janesville Fire Department; and WHEREAS, during Bonnie Merath's employment with the City of Janesville, she provided exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of her position, which she performed with skill and ability, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and WHEREAS, Bonnie Merath began her employment with the City of Janesville as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Janesville Fire Department on April 30, 2001; and WHEREAS, Bonnie Merath was involved in a variety of assignments during her career including Firefighter, Paramedic, Preceptor, Driver, and Lieutenant; and WHEREAS, Bonnie Merath was a member of the Department's Technical Rescue Team, Swiftwater Rescue Team, and a long-standing member of the Department Training Committee; and WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly recognized; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Bonnie Merath for her more than nineteen years of loyal public service.
