2020-1743 • RESOLUTION NO. 2020-1743 A resolution establishing a Relocation Order for the E. Racine St. & S. Randall Ave. Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) project WHEREAS, to properly establish, layout, widen, construct, reconstruct, improve, replace, or maintain a portion of the street herein described, it is necessary to acquire certain lands or interests in lands, as shown on the attached Acquisition Exhibit dated February 5, 2020, City of Janesville, Rock County; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Janesville recognizes the need to implement the recommended safety improvements at the E. Racine St. and S. Randall Ave. intersection to reduce crashes, improve safety, improve traffic operations, and improve pedestrian accommodations; and WHEREAS, the City of Janesville shall acquire certain lands and interests herein as shown on the attached Acquisition Exhibit dated February 5, 2020, as provided by Chapter 32, Wisconsin State Statutes; and WHEREAS, the termini of the E. Racine St. & S. Randall Ave. project is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point APPROXIMATELY 60 feet North of and 3020 feet West of the East '/4 corner of Section 31, T3N, R13E, in the City of Janesville, WI, thence southeasterly to a point APPROXIMATELY 47 feet North of and 2340 feet West of the East % corner of Section 31, T3N, R13E, City of Janesville, WI as shown on the Acquisition Exhibit dated February 5, 2020. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Janesville, pursuant to authority granted under Section 62.22, and other applicable Wisconsin Statutes, hereby authorizes this Relocation Order and directs the City Manager to file a copy of this Resolution with the County Clerk of Rock County, Wisconsin on behalf of the City. 1. The said local street is laid out and established to the lines and widths as shown on the Acquisition Exhibit; 2. The required lands or interests in lands as shown on the Acquisition Exhibit shall be acquired by the City of Janesville; and 3. This order supersedes and amends any previous order issued by the City of Janesville, Wisconsin.
