RESOLUTION NO. 2005-185
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH
ALLIANT ENERGY FOR AN ENERGY SA VINGS PROJECT AT THE POLICE SERVICES BUILDING
WHEREAS, Alliant Energy and the City of Janesville have determine that the use of energy efficient
technology in the Police Services building will substantially reduce electrical energy usage; and
WHEREAS, Alliant Energy will provide financing for the energy efficient light fixtures and equipment
installed in the Police Services building; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council finds that this energy savings project benefits the City and is in the best
interest of the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Janesville that they hereby
approve and authorize the City Manager to execute and enter into on behalf of the City of Janesville a contract
with Alliant Energy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager and his designee(s) on behalf of the City of Janesville,
is/are hereby authorized and empowered to negotiate, draft, modify, review, and execute this contract, and enter
into additional agreements, record, file and/or make minor modifications and/or amendments to any and all
documents, papers, forms, and agreements, and to make whatever other actions as the City Manager may
determine, from time to time and at any time, necessary and/or desirable to effectuate the intent of this
resolution and/or project.
