ORDINANCE NO. 2019-777
An ordinance amending Chapter 15 (Buildings and Construction of the Janesville Municipal
Code) to modify the fee structure for permits, with penalties for violations thereof,
together with injunctive relief and remedies upon default of forfeiture
payment as set forth in JGO 15.80.110.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. Section 15.01.140 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville is hereby
amended to read as follows:

I. BUILDING PERMITS
A. Residential
1. Accessory Buildings (81-120 square feet), swimming pools,
hot tubs/spas and fences, Chicken Coop (initial permit) $61.00- $100.00
II. DEMOLITION
A. Minor Interior (per project) $6-1.00 $100.00
B. Garage/Shed (per building) $6-1.00- $100.00
III. MINIMUM FEE $72.00- $100.00

(Effective Date: January 1, 2048-2020)
I. NEW RESIDENTIAL
A. One and two-family dwellings, per unit $82.00- $100.00
II. Residential replacement or added furnaces, or add-on cooling units

III. MINIMUM FEE $7-200- $100.00
