REVISED ORDINANCE NO. 2005-270
An ordinance changing and establishing the zoning classification of land located
within the 4200 block of John Paul Road.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is established as
R3M, Medium-Density Residence District.
Part of the SW.1/4 of Section 8, T.3N., R13E., of the 4th P.M., Town of Harmony, Rock
County, Wisconsin, described as follows, to-wit: Commencing at the West quarter corner of
Section 8, T.3N., R13E. of the 4th P.M.; thence S.88°12'15"E. along the East and West
centerline of said Section, 2071.70 feet to the intersection of said line with the centerline of
John Paul Road; thence S.25°28'45"W. along the centerline of said road, 575.35 feet to the
place of beginning for the land to be herein described; thence continuing S.25°28'45"W.
along the centerline of said Road, 63.32 feet to a point designated by the State Highway
Commission as Station 40"S"+00'; thence N.64°31'15"W., as measured at right angles, 33.0
feet to an iron pipe monument set on the Northwesterly RO.W. line of said Road; thence
S.29°20'25"W. along the diverging, relocated RO.W. line of said Road, 400.91 feet to an
iron pipe monument set at a point 60.0 feet as measured at right angles from Station
44"S"+00'; thence S.25°28'45"W. along the relocated RO.W. line of said Road, 60.0 feet
equi-distant from, and parallel to the centerline of said Road, 169.90 feet to an iron pipe
monument; thence N.60024'15''W., 225.58 feet to an iron pipe monument; thence
N.25°28'45"E. parallel to the centerline of said Road, 617.03 feet to an iron pipe monument;
thence S.64°31'15"E. as measured at right angles to said line, 285.0 feet to the place of
beginning.
Excepting lands conveyed to Rock County for StreeUHighway purposes in Warranty Deed
recorded August 27, 1990 on Card 448, Image 408 as Document No. 1118363, and re-
recorded on February 4, 1991 on Card 465, Image 752 as Document No. 1127008.
SECTION II. The zoning of the land to R3M is conditioned upon the following: Approval of
a Planned Unit Development (PUD) is required for multi-family development on the site.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
