2019-760 ORDINANCE NO. 2019-760 An ordinance changing the zoning classification of 1401 Woodman Road and 1400 Mayfair Drive from Conservancy and R1, Single-Family and Two-Family Residence District, to R3, General Residence District, with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation thereof as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the City of Janesville. THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby changed from Conservancy and R1, Single-Family and Two-Family Residence District, to R3, General Residence District: Part of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 24, Township 3 North, Range 12 East and part of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 19, Township 3 North, Range 13 East, City of Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 24; thence North 88°14'47" West along the South line of said Southeast 1/4, a distance of 264.00 feet; thence North 00°47'58" West, a distance of 504.66 feet to the Southwest corner of Mayfair South; thence South 88°31'25" East along the South line of said Mayfair South, a distance of 263.87 feet to the Southeast corner of said Mayfair South; thence South 00°48'31" East along the West line of Gershwin Park, a distance of 3.54 feet to the Southwest corner of said Gershwin Park; thence South 88°29'32" East along the South line of said Gershwin Park and its Easterly extension, a distance of 413.23 feet to the Southerly extension of the West right-of-way line of Foster Avenue; thence North 00°48'31" West along said Southerly extension, a distance of 9.39 feet to the South line of Boies Addition to City of Janesville; thence South 88°29'32" East along said South line, a distance of 346.28 feet to the Southwest corner of Block 8 of said Boies Addition; thence South 01°00'01" East, a distance of 161.47 feet; thence South 85°45'43" East, a distance of 55.15 feet to the Westerly right-of-way line of Woodman Road; thence South 24°34'42" West along said Westerly line, a distance of 127.21 feet; thence South 28°12'16" West along said Westerly line, a distance of 36.35 feet; thence North 88°29'32" West, a distance of 429.31 feet; thence South 00°48'31" East, a distance of 198.00 feet to the South line of the Southwest 1/4 of said Section 19; thence North 88°29'32" West along said South line, a distance of 313.50 feet to the point of beginning and containing 9.932 acres (432,624 sq. ft.) of land more or less. SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police power so requiring.
