RESOLUTION NO. 2004-103
Whereas, Christopher R. Dodge is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having
diligently served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for twenty-nine years, retiring
as a Building Inspector with the Housing, Building and Neighborhood Services Department; and,
Whereas, during Christopher R. Dodge's employment with the City of Janesville he diligently
served the citizens of Janesville by insuring the safety of their homes, places of employment, and other
public buildings by enforcing the building codes of the City of Janesville and State of Wisconsin; and
Whereas, during Christopher R. Dodge's employment with the City of Janesville he held true to
his ideals of public service and customer satisfaction by enforcing building codes fairly and without
favoritism; and
Whereas, during Christopher R. Dodge's employment with the City of Janesville he was
recognized by his peers as "City Employee of the Year"; and
Whereas, during Christopher R. Dodge's employment with the City of Janesville, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his position,
which he performed with competence, sincerity, honesty, and dedication; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City
Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Christopher R. Dodge for his twenty-nine years of
loyal public service.
