RESOLUTION NO. 2004-99
WHEREAS, John A. Hicks is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently
served the people of the City of Janesville and the community for twenty-six years, retiring as a
Senior Engineering Technician with the Engineering Department; and
WHEREAS, during John A. Hicks' employment with the City of Janesville, he provided
exemplary professional service and demonstrated conscientious devotion to the duties of his
position, which he performed with competence, sincerity, honesty and dedication; and
WHEREAS, during his service to the community, John A. Hicks made significant contributions
in the areas of major utility construction and reconstruction, landfill construction, and technical
support for landfill operations; and
WHEREAS, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the people of the City of Janesville, through the
City Council, do express their grateful appreciation to John A. Hicks for his twenty-six years of loyal
public service.
