RESOLUTION NO. 2004-96
Whereas, Robert A. Boldt is retiring from City of Janesville employment after having diligently
and professionally served three southern Wisconsin municipalities during a thirty-five year career in
engineering and public works management, including twenty-one years of service to the people of the
City of Janesville; and
Whereas, during his term with the City of Janesville, Robert A. Boldt has been instrumental in
the construction and development of numerous public works projects and services in his capacity as
Director of Public Works and City Engineer; and
Whereas, such public works projects include the City Services Center, Wastewater Treatment
Plant, Transit Transfer Center, Senior Citizens Center, Police Department building, and Opportunity
Drive; and also significant improvements to snow removal operations, stormwater management, and
water and wastewater programs; and
Whereas, throughout his tenure with the City of Janesville, Robert A. Boldt was known for his
work ethic, dedication, integrity, and commitment to excellence; and
Whereas, it is desired that such commendable service to the City of Janesville be properly
recognized;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the people of the City of Janesville, through the City
Council, do express their grateful appreciation to Robert A. Boldt for his thirty-five years of loyal public
service.
