2019-754 ORDINANCE NO. 2019-754
An ordinance changing the zoning classification of a portion of 1725 N. Washington
Street (Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel) from R3, General Residence District to R3 with
HO, Historic Overlay District, with a penalty and injunctive relief for a violation
thereof as set forth in Section 18.28.010 of the Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Janesville.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JANESVILLE DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The zoning classification of the following described property is hereby
changed from R3, General Residence District to R3 with HO, Historic Overlay District:
PART OF THE SE 1/4 OF THE SW 1/4 OF SECTION 23, T.3N., R.12E. OF THE 4TH
P.M., CITY OF JANESVILLE, ROCK COUNTY, WISCONSIN, described as follows:
Commencing at the SW Corner of said Section 23; thence N.89°44'45"E. along the South
Line of said Section, 2646.95 feet; thence N.28°37'23"W. 26.86 feet to the place of
beginning for the land to be herein described; thence N.0°08'10"W. 71.35 feet; thence
S.89°51'50"W. 155.09 feet; thence S.0°08'10"E. 71.35 feet; thence N.89°51'50"E. 155.09
feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Common
Council, the public health, welfare, peace, tranquility, good order, public benefit, and police
power so requiring.
