RESOLUTION # 2004-95
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SUPPLEMENTAL
APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($4,000) TO
INSTALL SAFETY RAILINGS AT MONTEREY STADIUM
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville is the owner of Monterey Stadium located in
Monterey Park; and
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City of Janesville that the
front and rear walls on the stadium do not meet the height requirements in the current
building code; and
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville and the Janesville School District, who leases
Monterey Stadium, have agreed to share this expense on a 50/50 basis; and
WHEREAS, the Janesville Common Council finds that it is in the best interest of
the City to provide supplemental funding for the installation of a safety railing; and
WHEREAS, it is within the authority of the Janesville Common Council, pursuant
to Section 65.90 (5)(a) Wisconsin Statutes to authorize and direct such supplemental
appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 65.90(5)(a)
Wisconsin Statues, that the Common Council of the City of Janesville hereby authorizes
and directs that a supplemental appropriation of four thousand dollars ($4,000) be made
from the General Funds undesignated fund balance and placed into the 2004 General
Fund Building Maintenance budget for repairs to the Monterey Stadium walls.
