RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 79
A Resolution authorizing a supplemental appropriation in the amount of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00)
to providefundsfor repair of the emergency backup generator at Fire Station #1.
WHEREAS, the City of Janesville has a need to repair the emergency power backup generator at Fire Station
#1 at the estimated repair cost of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the current generator has failed and is not operational; and
WHEREAS, the 2004 General Fund Fire Department Budget does not contain funds sufficient to pay the cost
of such repair; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Janesville hereby find that it is in the best interest of the City
and for the benefit of the community to provide this supplemental funding for such repair; and
WHEREAS, it is within the authority of the Common Council, pursuant to Section 65.90(5)(a) of the
Wisconsin Statutes and applicable City ordinances and policies, to authorize and direct such supplemental
appropriations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to Section 65.90 (5)(a) of the Wisconsin Statutes and
applicable City ordinances and policies, that the Common Council of the City of Janesville hereby authorize
and direct that a supplemental appropriation in the amount of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00) be made
from the General Fund's Undesignated Fund Balance and transferred into the 2004 General Fund Fire
Department Budget for repair of the emergency power generator at Fire Station #1.
